While teaching our intermediate students the -if-clauses, teachers tend to put them into the four categories. The result is a neat and tidy rule that teachers use to determine what is right or wrong in their students' speech and writing. In this webinar, we will find out that this rule contains oversimplification and fallacies. We will then consider exceptions to the rule and look at some ways of teaching conditional sentences.
