Who uses English today? Who is speaking and who is listening? What do learners of English need to sound like? Nowadays, the answer to all these questions is unlikely to be “native English speakers”. Indeed, the vast majority of spoken interaction in English today involves no native speakers at all. How can we ensure everyone understands each other in such a diverse world? This webinar will consider some new pronunciation priorities and challenges for learners and teachers of English.
